I hold degrees in Music (Piano Performance) and Psychology from the University of California, San Diego. As a pianist, I have participated in and placed in local piano competitions, received scholarships, performed in many different venues, and worked on a variety of repertoire including solo, duets, chamber music, concertos and unique piano ensemble configurations (such as pieces written for 2 pianos/8 hands and 5 pianos/10 hands). I have also worked on Suzuki piano repertoire and have completed the accompanying graduations as well as Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC) Certificate of Merit program with branch honors.
I have been teaching for over 5 years and am always continuing to learn. I have experience teaching young children, teenagers, college students, and older adults at varying levels in both private and group settings.
I am a member of the Music Teachers' Association of California (MTAC) and currently serve on the board of directors of MTAC - Alameda East Branch. I am also a member of the Suzuki Association of America (SAA) and the Suzuki Music Association of California (SMAC) - Bay Area Piano Branch.
